Shivankutty trolled by former education minister – ‘Here are 28 states, anyone can benefit’

Malappuram: Former Education Minister PK Abdu Rabb has ridiculed Education Minister Shivankutty for misrepresenting the number of states in India. In a Facebook post, Abdur Rabb mocked Shivankutty’s question that there are not 35 states in India. Abdu Rabb’s response was to mock Shivankutty by enumerating the number and names of the states and union territories. A map of India has also been added to the Facebook post with the caption that it will be useful to anyone.

Minister Sivankutty was fined during a press conference called on Friday to issue guidelines ahead of the opening of schools in the state. The minister made the mistake while stating the number of states in the country where schools have been opened so far. The minister was skeptical of the 35 states in India. Following the reply from the officials, the minister had corrected that schools were open in 23 states.
