Following his appearance crisis while crying in a nursing home and the widespread controversy that ensued with him being deemed offensive, the family of Jordanian director Hussein Daibis issued a press statement today, Tuesday, titled “An Important Statement of the Daibis Shawabkeh Tribe,” So that it rejects what it describes as “exploiting its reputation and name in search of increased viewership”.
The statement said, “There is a big difference between yearning for brotherhood and friendship, and asking about a friend’s condition, and begging, opportunism and playing on feelings. Hussain Dybes presented the public with playing and music as a creative art, and you his situation.” And rewarded him by playing with emotion.”
The family explained in the statement, “To protect the privacy of the friend and not to exploit his reputation and name, away from the spotlight and social media, the desire is to meet Hussain and be assured of his condition and state of health. Without paying attention to the speed of vision, the psychological situation and the nature of the disease, anyone can expose a person and the patient may experience significant changes in personality or behavior, or answer simple questions briefly or incorrectly.
The family confirmed in a press statement, “The permission of Hussain’s son, brother and relatives to find out the truth was ignored, as it deviated from the ethics of journalistic work, and the video interview showed that the director, Hussain Dybes, suffered. From filial disobedience, loneliness and humiliation, which is far from the truth.”
The family thanked the Jordanian government for its interest in director Hussein Daibes and its efforts to find out the truth about his health condition, commending the Minister of Culture Mustafa Rawashdeh for visiting him at his residence and also confirming that the director voluntarily chose to live in “Darat Shamma Healthcare”. Nehaj and Darat is a luxury health facility, not a nursing home.
Yesterday, Monday, the Jordanian Minister of Culture, Mustafa Al-Rawashdeh, visited the director Hussein Daibes, confirming the appreciation of the Jordanian state for its creators who have contributed to the presentation of the bright image of Jordanian art at the Arab level.
He said, “I have heard the demands of director Hussein Daibes, and we will try to provide them and present them to him. This is the duty of the Jordanian state to its creative people.”
A video interview with Jordanian director Hussain Dybes elicited interaction and sympathy from the Jordanian public, when he appeared ill in a nursing home, in a state where it was difficult to speak and sometimes crying after suffering a stroke.
The story goes back to when a Jordanian producer, along with an Arab broadcaster, conducted a lengthy interview with director Hussein Daibes while he was in a nursing home. which evoked widespread sympathy from the Jordanian people.
