Brutal School Attack in Konaseema District
A shocking incident took place in the Konaseema district, where a minor boy was severely abused by his classmates. The assault was brought to light when the accused, also minors, shared a video of the attack online.
According to Govinda Rao, the Deputy Superintendent of Police in Mandapeta, the victim is a 17-year-old boy. He had formed a friendship with a girl from his village, Goodapalli, after studying together until the 10th grade. Both later enrolled in Junior College in Malkipuram.
Four boys, who were friends with the victim, developed animosity towards him because one of them liked the girl. To retaliate, they lured the victim to the outskirts of Malkipuram and attacked him mercilessly on October 5th. The story gained traction on social media when the video went viral, prompting the police to take swift action.
Initially, the victim did not file a report with law enforcement. However, his parents eventually lodged a complaint at the Malkipuram police station. Officers registered a case under sections 307 and 324 of the Indian Penal Code. Two minors have been arrested, and authorities are searching for another boy involved in the attack. The main suspect was involved in an accident on October 10 and is currently receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit.
