SIAO 2024: Artisans Shine as Diplomats Marvel at Masterpieces of Creativity

Invited by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and Burkinabè Abroad, Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations visited the SIAO on Friday November 1, 2024.

With his guests, who are the accredited diplomats in our country, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré, went on a tour of the SIAO pavilions. The guided tour was coordinated by the Minister for Industrial Development, Trade, Crafts and Small and Medium Enterprises, Serge Gnaniodem Poda. They also visited the AES stands and the live workshop. According to Karamoko Minister Jean Marie Traoré, “we traveled well to Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, Morocco. This allows us to bring Africa together at the same time. ” He added: “it was a treat for the eyes and at the same time, it gives us an idea of what strength we have in Africa”. Welcoming the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and Burkinabè Abroad for this initiative, the highest body, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco, Youssef Slaoui, appreciated the guided tour and thanked the organizing committee of the SIAO which is for him, one of the fairs Africa’s biggest. Also, Karamoko Minister Jean Marie Traoré took this opportunity to ask for support from organizations involved in promoting works as well as artisans on an international scale. He also welcomed this outpouring of solidarity from the heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations in Burkina Faso.
