Tropical Storm Tochi Weakens and Moves Away from Hong Kong
On November 14, 2024, at 8:00 AM HKT, the Hong Kong Observatory announced that Tropical Storm Tochi has started to weaken. The storm is currently located approximately 130 kilometers south of Hong Kong and is expected to shift slowly westward across the waters south of the region.
As the storm moves away, the Observatory has maintained the Northeast Gale or Storm Signal No. 8. However, it plans to downgrade the Strong Wind Signal No. 3 at 10:20 AM. Residents can anticipate a gradual easing of local winds.
