“Similar to El Shahat”… urgent surgery for the Pyramids player after his mother was injured

Osama Galal, defender of the Pyramids club team, underwent urgent facial surgery today in a hospital after being seriously injured as a result of a strong tackle by a Future player in the match that took place between the two teams at the Air Defense Stadium.

Pyramids achieved victory over Future by two goals to one in the 21st round of the league championship, leaving the team at the top of the tournament standings, after raising its score to 41 points.

Dr. Mustafa Al-Muniri, head of the medical staff at Pyramids Club, revealed in special statements to his club’s media center that Osama Jalal was subjected to a strong tackle by a Future player and that x-rays confirmed that he suffered a fracture in his facial bones.

The doctor explained that the player underwent surgery today at one of the Mohandessin Hospitals under the supervision of Dr. Tariq Al-Banoubi, Professor of Maxillofacial Surgery.

Al-Muniri stressed that Osama Jalal will leave the hospital within hours after checking on him, as he will be absent from the field for up to 3 weeks until the fracture heals, provided that he returns to training with a mask to protect the face from collisions.

It is worth noting that Al-Ahly player Hussein El-Shahat suffered the same injury during one of the African Champions League matches, underwent the same surgery, and returned to participate in the matches with a face mask.
