Singer Soyou Reveals Her 5-Year Residence in Hannam-dong, Seoul

Popular singer Soyou recently shared details about her lavish apartment in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. During her appearance on the web entertainment show “Eat Breakfast and Go,” which was released on August 1st, Soyou provided a glimpse into her beautiful home.
Expressing her contentment, Soyou revealed that she has resided in this elegant abode for the past five years through a monthly rental agreement. While she had considered the option of buying and selling a property in the past, unsuccessful attempts led to disappointment.
MC Jang Seong-gyu enthusiastically commented, “This house is not available for purchase and is rented in Yonsei. Upon researching the monthly rent, I discovered that Soyou pays 12 million won. This is undoubtedly the best deal ever!”
Soyou also disclosed that she is a neighbor of President Yoon Seok-yeol. When Jang Seong-gyu attempted to capture the view outside the window, Soyou advised him, “Please avoid filming the left side.”
Furthermore, Soyou shared a personal anecdote about being forcefully evicted from a previous residence due to an abusive landlord. She began, “Initially, I lived in Cheongdam-dong, but suddenly, I was asked to pay double the rent. Faced with this unreasonable demand, I hastily found another place to live in Nonhyeon-dong.”
Resuming her story, she confessed, “I invested nearly 200 million won in the interior of that house, but the landlord unexpectedly changed and abruptly ordered me to leave. In order to resolve the issue, I moved into my current residence.”
The apartment Soyou resides in is known as Hannam Hillside. Due to the lack of sales data and infrequent transactions, determining its market price proves challenging. However, monthly rental fees typically range from 10 to 12 million won, depending on the deposit.
