Aamir Khan Disputes Censor Board Cuts for ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’
Aamir Khan is challenging proposed cuts to his upcoming film, Sitaare Zameen Par, by India’s Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The film, already creating buzz due to Khan’s prominent role and unique promotional strategy, is slated for release next week.
Khan,also the film’s producer,believes the movie should be cleared without the suggested edits. A source familiar with the situation said Khan and director R S prasanna carefully considered each scene and dialogue, deeming them appropriate within the film’s context.
