The sad story of the fennec, which always returned to the same place every day in the scorching sun, in the rain and in the cold, captured the hearts of many people. It was published by the Slovak Alliance of Animal Protectors, saying that every day she faithfully waits for the door to open and a lady to feed her.
After the story was published, many people begged for someone to help the bitch, some were willing to take her in. Finally, the Priateľ Pes Civic Association, Štúrovo, intervened.
“The female from Kamenín is already on her way to safety at our shelter. It was a more difficult capture, as she defended herself, but in the end we have her. We don’t need to report her anymore, we didn’t have a place, but we solved it.” the civic association informed on the social network that after veterinary procedures, the female will be ready for adoption and will look for a new home.
The story of the Kamenín hybrid resembles the story of the movie dog Hachiko, who was born on a farm near the city of Ōdate in Akita Prefecture. Thanks to his devotion to the owner, Hačik is remembered even many years after his death. After the owner’s death, relatives took him in, but he kept running away. Every evening he left for the station, hoping that the professor would return home. He waited like this for his beloved master for 11 long years.
The dog from the village of Kamenín, just like the dog Hačikó, has been waiting like this day after day in front of the apartment building in the heat, in the rain and in the cold for several long months. Fenočka is so faithful that she did not want to leave her place in front of the apartment building, and the lady who lives in the apartment building, and the guards had a lot to do to catch her and take her to safety.
