Slovan Bratislava Draws 2:2 with Banská Bystrica

ŠK Slovan Bratislava surrendered a two-goal lead at Tehelné pole, drawing 2:2 with MFK Dukla Banská Bystrica in the 12th round of the Niké liga.

Kenan Bajrič and Tigran Barseghjan Score Before Late Collapse

After a scoreless first half, Kenan Bajrič opened the scoring for the hosts, and Tigran Barseghjan added a second goal from a penalty kick. Slovan controlled the match for long stretches while Banská Bystrica rarely threatened the home penalty area.

Substitute Adam Hanes altered the outcome in the closing minutes. Hanes scored twice late in the match to rescue a point for Dukla Banská Bystrica, marking the first time in more than three years that the club secured a point at Tehelné pole.

Yaya Touré and Daniel Valach Assess the Match

Slovan head coach Yaya Touré expressed severe disappointment with his team’s defensive lapses after the final whistle. He apologized directly to supporters for the dropped points.

Touré added that his side proved vulnerable defensively and lost concentration during stoppage time. He stated that no excuses about a heavy fixture schedule could justify losing a 2:0 advantage at a major club like Slovan.

Dukla coach Daniel Valach praised his team’s organization and the impact of his substitutes. He noted that the visitors adjusted their formation and took tactical risks late in the game.
