Black Myth: Wukong Sales Exceed 20 Million Copies and $961 Million in Revenue
According to recent data from VG Insights, the domestic 3A masterpiece “Black Myth: Wukong” has achieved remarkable success since its release on August 20. Today marks the one-month anniversary of the game’s release.
The latest data reveals that the sales volume of “Black Myth: Wukong” on the Steam platform has reached 20 million copies, with total revenue exceeding $961 million (approximately RMB 6.79 billion).
In addition to Steam, the game is also available on WeGame, PlayStation, and Epic platforms, further expanding its reach.
Industry analysts predict that the annual sales of “Black Myth: Wukong” are expected to reach 30 million to 40 million copies, corresponding to a turnover of 10 billion to 14 billion.
The game is available in two versions: standard edition and deluxe edition. The PC versions are priced at 268 yuan and 328 yuan respectively, with the DLC deluxe upgrade package priced at 60 yuan.
“Black Myth: Wukong” is an action role-playing game set in Chinese mythology, drawing inspiration from “Journey to the West”, one of the “Four Great Classics” of Chinese classical novels.
