Guidelines for Protecting Copyright and Portrait Rights
Thank you for your continued enthusiastic support of the Gunma Crane Thunders. To protect the rights of our team, we have established guidelines for spectator manners and rules.
Protected Rights
- Copyright and trademark rights of videos, photographs, illustrations, documents, etc. posted and distributed on our official website and social media
- Copyright and trademark rights of our logo, mark, uniform number, and mascot character
- Image rights and publicity rights of our players, cheerleaders, and staff
Prohibited Acts
The copyright of our content belongs to us or other rights holders who have obtained permission to use it under a license. It is prohibited to copy, modify, redistribute, republish, download, display, post, transfer or use all or part of the content beyond the scope of personal use or other explicitly permitted by law without obtaining prior consent from the copyright holder.
Examples of Prohibited Acts
- Downloading, photographing or copying photos or videos of players, logos or other images of our content posted on our official website or social media, and publishing them on your own social media or website
- Setting downloaded images as your own social media icons or headers
- Manufacturing and selling items using downloaded materials for the purpose of distribution to an unspecified or large number of specified people
- Manufacturing and selling items using photographs you have taken or portraits of players or others you have created for the purpose of distributing them to an unspecified or large number of specified people
Activities that Do Not Require Permission
Activities that are enjoyed by individuals, such as:
- Printing out photos, videos, logos, and other content of players posted on our official website, social media, etc., and displaying them in your room at home, or saving them on your PC, smartphone, or other device for personal viewing
- Creating your own cheering boards using photographs you have taken or illustrations you have drawn yourself, and using them at the match venue to cheer on players or your team
- Posting photos and videos that you have taken on social media, in compliance with the “Guidelines for taking photos and videos at official B.LEAGUE matches and their use on social media and the internet” established by the Japan Professional Basketball League
- Personal use permitted under copyright law, and other uses within the scope specified by law
Rules for Taking Photos
Please follow the “Spectating Etiquette and Rules” of our club and the “Guidelines for taking photos and videos at official B.LEAGUE matches and their use on social media and the internet” when taking photos and videos at match venues.
- Please note that any photography or videography for the purpose of media publication or commercial use other than for personal use requires permission from our club and B.LEAGUE
- Please follow the rules when taking photos and videos at match venues, and consider carefully whether there are any spectators, players, Thunder Girls, staff, or other people who may be in the photos or videos and who may view them, before using or posting them
