Los Angeles 2028 (LA28) has chosen Snowflake, a cloud data firm, as its official data collaboration provider.This move aims to leverage Snowflake’s AI data cloud to improve various aspects of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The agreement also extends to the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee, providing Team USA with a centralized platform for managing athlete training data and boosting fan engagement through data-driven activations. This partnership promises to make the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games the most technologically advanced to date, focusing on data collaboration and innovation.
LA28 anticipates that snowflake’s data collaboration capabilities will streamline the planning and execution of the Games’ events. By centralizing data management, the organizing committee hopes to achieve greater efficiency and innovation.
“As we progress toward 2028, our capabilities will continue to evolve, and the opportunities to collaborate with Snowflake on data collaboration enhancements are paramount,” said John Slusher, US Olympic and Paralympic Properties chief executive.
Denise Persson, Snowflake chief marketing officer, emphasized the importance of the partnership.She stated that the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic stage offers an unusual chance to bring together data for meaningful impact, and Snowflake’s technology is uniquely positioned to enable powerful data collaboration at scale.
Prior to this, Saatva, a mattress brand, became an official supplier for LA28 and Team USA.The Team USA component of the Saatva partnership includes the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, where Saatva will serve as the official mattress and restorative sleep partner.
