Son Yeon-jae Reveals Her Life as a Parent

Former rhythmic gymnast Son Yeon-jae shared a glimpse into her life as a parent on her social media account.

Son Yeon-jae posted two photos with the caption, “I told you to cool off, I didn’t tell you to get cold.” The photos show her holding her 6-month-old baby in her arms at a park, and a close-up of her baby lying down.

Son Yeon-jae’s innocent charm is evident in the photos, where she is seen smiling and wearing an ivory knit and black pants. Her baby’s adorable hands are also visible, giving off a warm feeling.

Son Yeon-jae is a renowned rhythmic gymnast who decorated a page of Korean rhythmic gymnastics history during her active years. She came in 5th in the individual all-around rhythmic gymnastics event at the 2012 London Olympics and 4th in the individual all-around event at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics.

After officially announcing her retirement in February 2017, Son Yeon-jae has been nurturing promising rhythmic gymnasts as the CEO of ‘Leaf Studio’. She got married to a financier who is 9 years her senior in August 2022 and gave birth to a healthy son on February 20.

Son Yeon-jae’s agency Next Euphoria announced that she donated 100 million won to the obstetrics and gynecology department of Severance Hospital after giving birth.
