Expanding health Services with PhilHealth Yakap
PhilHealth spokesman and Senior Vice President for Health Finance Policy, Dr. Israel Francis Pargas, articulated that PhilHealth Yakap is a direct embodiment of the President’s vision for healthcare that is within reach for all citizens. The program significantly broadens the scope of health services available to members, offering crucial benefits such as free check-ups, essential medicines, and basic laboratory tests. This holistic approach aims to empower individuals to take proactive steps in managing their health and well-being.
future Enhancements: Cancer Screening and Medication access
Looking ahead, members can anticipate even more robust support through upcoming enhancements to the PhilHealth Gamot (Guaranteed Accessible Medications for Outpatient Treatment) program. Furthermore, 54 additional medicines will be incorporated, expanding the availability of crucial treatments for various outpatient conditions. These advancements signify PhilHealth’s dedication to staying at the forefront of healthcare provision and adapting to the evolving needs of its members.
As the Marcos administration progresses into its fourth year, guided by the “Bagong Pilipinas” vision, Filipinos can look forward to a future characterized by broader health services and a more secure national health landscape. PhilHealth Yakap is a testament to this commitment, promising a healthier and more secure tomorrow for all.
