A bar in Yeongtong-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, around 10:30 o’clock on the 17th of last month. A male customer, Mr. And, screaming while talking to the employee. After arguing with a restaurant worker over the price of drinks, he could not control his anger and started shouting. Mr A hit three restaurant workers on the spot and ran out, saying, “I’ll kill them all. I’ll find a weapon.”

Inspector Jeong Han-gyeol of the Yeongtong District Unit of South Suwon Police Station in Gyeonggi Province rushed to the scene as soon as he received the report. When Inspector Jeong arrived at the scene, he was surprised when he first saw Mr. This is because Mr A has tattoos all over his body and he walks down the street without clothes. He was walking into another restaurant, holding a sharp weapon in one hand and waving it back and forth.

Customers inside the restaurant did not notice Mr A’s presence at first. However, when I heard a commotion demanding that the knife be handed over from the kitchen, I noticed it and ran out. Meanwhile, Inspector Jeong quickly went inside the restaurant and inspected the situation.

Looking towards the kitchen, there were workers who hadn’t left yet. Mr. A was upset and continued to swear and shout. Inspector Jeong said, “Because Mr. A drunk, we judged it to be a high-risk group that could not be resolved through conversation,” and added, “Since the place is so small, I thought we had to stop damage quickly. .”

Mr. And he got more excited when he saw the police. This time, he held a coke bottle in one hand and walked towards Inspector Jeong while swearing. At that moment, Inspector Jeong quickly pulled out a Taser gun and gave a warning once, saying, “Drop the knife.” Nevertheless, as Mr. Continuing to approach, he fired a Taser gun at his upper body.

Inspector Jeong said, “Since Mr. A naked, I thought for a moment that I should avoid the critical spot and shoot him,” and he added, “The moment Mr. A fell on the spot, I immediately arrested him.” All this happened three minutes after Inspector Jeong arrived at the scene.

As Inspector Jeong took Mr. A out of the restaurant, the citizens continued to applaud. Shouts of “Thank you” and “Thank you” were heard from all over the place. Captain Jeong said, “I didn’t feel scared at the time, and all I could think about was that it had to be resolved quickly.” He added, “When I wear the uniform, I feel that I unconsciously feel a sense of responsibility towards my job.”

Mr A is a man in his 40s who has been referred to the prosecution for investigation into charges of assault, special threats, public indecency, and damage to property. It was investigated that he committed the crime accidentally out of anger.

Inspector Jeong, who is in his 8th year, said he had been continuously studying how to respond to knife violence. He said, “In the case of such incidents, there are different ways of responding by classifying them according to stage and type, such as persuading them to put down their weapons or using a Taser to subdue them immediately.” He added, “I have been studying through training and regular simulations, and these efforts have been “I was glad to think it was not in vain,” he said.

Inspector Jeong’s goal is to become a proud police father.
