Spectrum Internet Outage Disrupts Service in Casper Area
CASPER, Wyo. – Customers of Spectrum Internet in Casper, Wyoming, and surrounding communities of Bar Nunn and Mills are experiencing a widespread outage, beginning Sunday morning. The disruption affects internet and cable services, according to reports.
Spectrum Service sent an automated text message to customers indicating that service restoration is expected around 1:30 p.m. Mountain Time. Social media posts on the Casper Classifieds Facebook group corroborate the outage, with some users reporting receiving similar restoration time estimates.
Oil City News has contacted a Spectrum spokesperson for further information regarding the cause and scope of the outage, but a response was not immediately available.
The current outage does not appear to be impacting mobile services in Casper. This contrasts with an incident in April 2025, when a Bluepeak subcontractor inadvertently severed major fiberoptic cables, causing widespread internet disruptions for both Verizon and Spectrum customers for several hours.
