Former NBA star Stephon Marbury is now chief brand officer for Chamelo Eyewear, bringing his marketing savvy to the eyewear industry. Marbury, known for his basketball career and triumphant ventures like the Starbury footwear brand, aims to elevate Chamelo’s profile with unique, tech-forward sunglasses.
Chamelo’s eyewear stands out with its Prismatic lenses, offering users the ability to shift between four diffrent colors in under a second. This technology, coupled with Marbury’s brand marketing expertise, positions Chamelo as a disruptor in the market.
Marbury connected with Chamelo founder Fenghua Li in Hong Kong and quickly recognized the potential. “Within the first five minutes, he showed me the glasses, and I was like, wait — do that again,” Marbury said.
