SSG Kim Gwang-hyun, who admitted to drinking during the WBC tournament in March, publicly apologized and was excluded from the first team bid.
Before today’s home game against Samsung, Kwang-Hyun Kim bowed his head, saying, “I sincerely apologize to all baseball fans and the elderly and young people who love baseball for behaving mindlessly during the national team tournament, regardless of the reason.”
He added, “As a veteran of the team, I was short-sighted and regretted not being able to control myself.”
Kim Gwang-hyun, who was banned from the 1st team application, is expected to have time to self-reflect in the 2nd team for now.
