Starbucks Korea’s ‘Lucky First Visit’ Event for New Year’s Day Customers

[이뉴스투데이 김종효 기자] Starbucks Korea is holding a ‘Lucky First Visit’ event where 24 customers who visit the store on New Year’s Day will receive one event drink and one lucky sticker.

This lucky first visit event is an event prepared with gratitude for customers who love Starbucks, and is held for customers who visit the store and order on site. The drinks eligible for the event are two of the New Year’s drinks, ‘Blue Dragon Classic Milk Tea’ and ‘Blue Dragon Hazelnut Latte.’

Free drinks will be given to the first 24 people on a first come, first served basis, one tall drink per person. Event drinks can be chosen as hot or iced, and one order option, such as adding a shot or syrup, is provided free of charge on request. Customers using personal cups can also take part in the event.

‘Blue Dragon Classic Milk Tea’ represents the year of the blue dragon by putting blue Earl Gray foam on top of Starbucks classic latte drink, Classic Milk Tea. Earl Grey’s sweet blue foam is made using gardenia fruit, a traditional material. Gardenia is an ingredient that has been used since ancient times to add color to pancakes, jellies and rice cakes.

In addition, the ‘Blue Dragon Hazelnut Latte’, which contains 2 shots of espresso and hazelnut syrup, has a richer coffee taste and a nutty taste. The drink was also topped with Earl Grey’s sweet blue foam to represent the year of the blue dragon.

Along with free drinks, we also provide lucky stickers to cheer for 2024. The lucky sticker depicts an image of a blue dragon symbolizing the year of Gapjin and says, “Your year will shine even brighter bright!” The phrase, “We’re cheering for a great start in 2024,” was added to convey a message of customer support.

Kim Beom-su, who is in charge of marketing at Starbucks Korea, said, “We planned this event to cheer up the beginning of customers visiting Starbucks on the first day of Gapjin, the Year of the Blue Dragon.” He added, “Starbucks will continue to launch more new and diverse products, products and events.” “We will bring joy to our customers,” he said.

Meanwhile, since the Lucky First Visit event is held based on each store’s opening time, the event start time for each store is different. In addition, some special stores are excluded from this event. A list of non-participating stores can be found in the ‘what’s new’ section of the Starbucks app.
