[디지털투데이 AI리포터] IT media The Verge reported on the 5th (local time) that Steam’s game recording function has been officially released.
The feature allows PC, Mac, and Steam Deck players to record and share audio and video of their gaming sessions. It includes features from tools like Xbox Game Bar, Nvidia GeForce, AMD’s Adrenalin, and more, allowing PC gamers to record game highlights.
The released version of the Steam client is the first to discontinue support for Windows 7 and 8 devices and Macs running macOS 10.13 and 10.14 since Valve announced it earlier this year.
After the automatic update, players can start recording manually via a hotkey (default is Ctrl+F11) or set it to run automatically with options to limit length, quality and storage space available on Steam. This feature works on all games, including non-Steam games. Recording is turned off by default, and you can find the setting in the new Game Recording tab in Steam Settings.
Valve has added several new features that weren’t present when the beta period began last June. This includes the addition of an ‘advanced’ export option and the ability to configure game-specific settings, as well as a session view feature with the addition of a recording and screenshot manager with game-specific tags and data.
