2024 Yalemei Boutique Doors and Windows Love the Elderly Star Charity Baseball Game Kicks Off in Yunlin

The Huashan Foundation’s “2024 Yalemei Boutique Doors and Windows Love the Elderly Star Charity Baseball Game” kicked off at the Douliu Baseball Stadium on September 21. Yunlin County Magistrate Zhang Lishan, a centenarian grandmother, Yalemei Boutique Doors and Windows Sales Department Manager Huang Jianzhi, and Huashan Foundation District Director Liao Xingyu jointly threw the first pitch.
Zhang Lishan expressed her gratitude to the Huashan Foundation for their cooperation with the Taiwan Shining Star Baseball Team for the sixth time and for being the title sponsor of Yalemei Boutique Doors and Windows for two consecutive years. The event featured the Taiwan Shining Star Baseball Team, the Future Women’s Baseball Team, the Luxy Girls cheerleading team, and many artists, all gathering together to swing the bats for charity for the elderly in Yunlin.

Zhang Lishan highlighted the Huashan Foundation’s long-term efforts in providing companionship, medical treatment, and care for the elderly. She emphasized the importance of resource connection, which enables families to receive more support, reducing the pressure of care for many families. Zhang Lishan also thanked the famous entertainers and players of the Taiwan Shining Star Baseball Team for using baseball to call for love and raise care funds for the Huashan Foundation.
Huang Jianzhi, the sales manager of Yalemei Boutique Doors and Windows, emphasized the importance of helping hometown elders when one has the means to do so. Liao Xingyu, the district director of Huashan Foundation, noted that the foundation primarily serves elderly individuals over 65 years old who live alone and have difficulty moving, are disadvantaged, and disabled. He looked forward to continued cooperation between the government and private sector to provide more services for Yunlin’s elderly.
