77th Autumn Kanto High School Baseball Tournament to Begin
The 77th Autumn Kanto High School Baseball Tournament is set to start on the 21st at three stadiums in the prefecture, including Hitachinaka Municipal Baseball Stadium in Hitachinaka City, Ibaraki Prefecture. This tournament will determine the participating schools for next spring’s invitational tournament.
A total of 34 schools, including 8 seeded schools, will participate in the tournament. Kasumigaura, which participated in the summer Koshien tournament, will face off against Iwase Nihon University at J:COM Stadium Tsuchiura in Tsuchiura City on the 22nd. If the schedule goes smoothly, the final will be held at Hitachinaka Municipal Baseball Stadium from 10:00 a.m. on October 2nd.
The two schools that advance to the finals will participate in the Kanto Tournament to be held in Kanagawa Prefecture from the 26th. The top schools in the Kanto Tournament will have a higher chance of participating in the selection tournament.
