Strack-Zimmermann (FDP) complains about Olaf Scholz’s advisors

The FDP politician Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann publicly complains about a Scholz advisor. She accuses him of insulting her at an event.

FDP politician Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann has publicly complained about Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s foreign and security policy advisor. She accuses Jens Plötner of having commented on a request from her with the words “Wow, the old woman is annoying,” as she wrote on X, formerly Twitter. When asked, a government spokesman told t-online that they generally do not comment on rumors.

According to Strack-Zimmermann, a colleague of hers heard the sentence in question at close range. Strack-Zimmermann told t-online that she asked the Chancellor whether there was a strategy for how Ukraine would be supported in the long term. The sentence was said during her question.

Her party’s defense policy spokeswoman had previously described the situation on Twitter: “At the 2023 Bundeswehr Conference today [dem] The Chancellor asked a constructive question regarding a sustainable strategy for supporting Ukraine. The most revealing ‘answer’ to this came from his chief advisor Jens Plötner, who was present: ‘Wow, the old woman is annoying!'”

Military expert Carlo Masala commented on the post with the words “Not true!!”. Strack-Zimmermann then reacted with the words: “Yes. And believe me: If someone other than you insults me so rudely, I become uncomfortable.”
