Sega reveals Stranger Than Heaven: A Historical Action Game

Sega and ryu Ga Gotoku Studios (RGG) have officially announced their previously teased historical title, now known as “Stranger Than Heaven.” The reveal, showcased at Summer Game Fest 2025, follows an initial glimpse at last year’s Game Awards under the codename Project Century. While the trailer offered a look at the action gameplay, details regarding the release date and platforms remain undisclosed.
Players will step into the shoes of Mako Daito, a character who appears to operate as some kind of agent. The trailer hints at Daito’s possible non-japanese origins, emphasized by his striking blue eyes. The game’s description offers little beyond “another glimpse into the game’s world.”
The teaser provides a glimpse into the neon-drenched streets of 1940s Tokyo.
