Comedian Chris McCausland, who is blind, and his partner Dianne Buswell, were crowned champions on Strictly come Dancing, marking the show’s 20th anniversary with a historic win. McCausland, who lost his sight 25 years ago, triumphed in what host claudia winkleman called “the highest scoring Strictly final ever.”
The Strictly Come Dancing final saw McCausland, 47, celebrated for his wit and bravery in mastering complex routines. fellow contestants Sarah Hadland, JB Gill, and Tasha Ghouri also earned high praise from the judges, including Anton du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood.
McCausland’s victory resonated deeply, with judge Craig Revel Horwood moved to poetry, calling McCausland “a light that shines for all to see.”
