Strong reactions in Paris after this bold statement from Faure Gnassingbé – Togotimes

At the high-level summit on the fight against terrorism in Africa on the theme “Strengthening cooperation and regional institutions to respond to the evolving threat of terrorism in Africa” held in Abuja, on April 22, 2024, the Togolese President, Faure Gnassingbé, categorically described pre-colonial military agreements as “outdated” and “obsolete”. This bold position has aroused the anger of certain powers who see it as a threatening disavowal.
