Sub-Zero Ice Skating Club and Asian Ice Skating Institute Collaborate for “Sub-Zero Skate Bangkok International 2023” Competition

Sub-Zero Ice Skating Club has joined forces with the Asian Ice Skating Institute (ISI) to organize the prestigious “Sub-Zero Skate Bangkok International 2023” competition at Sub-Zero Mega Bangna Ice Skating Club. The event will see the participation of 11 countries and 26 rinks, making it a highly anticipated competition on the international ice skating circuit.

Collaboration with ISI

The “Sub-Zero Skate Bangkok International 2023” competition at Mega Bangna Sub-Zero Ice Skate Club is organized by Sub-Zero Ice Skate Club in collaboration with the Asian Ice Skating Institute (ISI). Notably, this event is included in two important competitions, with points from this competition contributing to the accumulated points for the 2023 ISI Championship Series and the 2023 ISI Thailand Regional Championship Series.

The event was inaugurated by Miss Thapanee Kiattipaiboon, the Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, along with Mr. Thanathorn Suwicha, Director of Operations at Major Bowl Group Company Limited, Mr. Harry Chanto Leo, President of the Asia Ice Skating Foundation, and Mr. Pipat Cherdchid, Director of Competition Organizing and General Manager of Sub-Zero Ice Skate Club.

During the opening ceremony, Mr. Thanathorn Suwicha, Director of Operations at Major Bowl Group Company Limited, presented the award for Best Regional Coach of the Year 2023 to Mr. Wicha Habitan of Sub-Zero Ice Skating Club.

International Participation

For the “Sub Zero Skate Bangkok International 2023” competition, a total of 11 countries are competing, including Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, China, Macau, Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Qatar. The competition will feature 700 athletes from these countries, representing 26 rinks from various locations, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Macau, Singapore, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and the Philippines.

Fostering Talent

The competition aims to develop Thai athletes for national and international competitions, providing them with a platform to showcase their abilities. The event will adhere to the competition rules set by the Asian Ice Skating Organization and will run for a period of 4 days, concluding on December 10, 2023, at Mega Bangna Sub-Zero Ice Skating Club.
