Boy,13,Suffered Meningitis After Respiratory Infection
Martine Purdy described her son’s inability to walk or speak after he contracted meningitis following a respiratory infection. Franki Purdy, now 13, experienced a five-week chest infection in March 2024 before suddenly developing leg pain, loss of appetite, and a high temperature, according to The Sun.
Purdy reported her son was initially diagnosed with a virus,but his condition rapidly deteriorated. He was eventually diagnosed with meningitis and spent time in the hospital receiving treatment.
Franki is now recovering,but continues to experience fatigue.his mother hopes sharing thier story will raise awareness of the dangers of meningitis.
