As the first four months of 2022 pass, South Indian films are on the rise in theaters across the country. South Indian films like RRR and Pushpa: The Rise have lagged far behind Bollywood films. The box office success of local films has also made a huge difference in the remuneration of actors, especially actresses. These are the highest paid heroines among South Indian actresses.
Nayanthara is the first superstar in the list. Jayaram Ravi’s next film is with the actor who celebrated his marriage to director Vighnesh Sivan. It is reported that Nines is getting paid Rs 10 crore for the new film. The film has 20 days of shooting for Nines. The film is titled ‘Iraivan’ and is directed by Ahmed. Ravi and Nayans will be teaming up for a solo film.
After Samantha’s item number in Pushpa with Allu Arjun, the salary of actress Samantha also went up sharply. The player is currently being charged between Rs 3 crore and Rs 5 crore. There are reports that Samantha may be the heroine in Salman Khan’s No Entry 2, one of the biggest superstars in the country.
Telugu actress Pooja Hegde is another South Indian actress ahead of the award. According to News18, Pooja, the heroine of Vijay Devarakonda, was bought by Puri Jagannath for Rs 3-4 crore. It is reported that the actress has increased her salary to Rs 5 crore. The actress recently starred in the Pan Indian film Runway 34 with Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh. The salary was Rs 3.5 crore.

Popular South Indian actress Tamanna Bhatia is also not far behind in terms of remuneration. The purchase price for a film is Rs 3 crore. Tamanna’s brand value has skyrocketed after films like Bahubali: The Beginning and College. The actress’ latest project is the thriller web series titled ‘Criminal Minds’ by Disney Hotstar. The series is directed by Robbie Grewall.

Kajal Agarwal is another leading actress with a salary of Rs 2 crore. It is reported that Reshmi is also playing the lead role in Pushpa 2. The shooting of the film will start in August.
