Chennai: Thalaiva Rajinikanth has undergone surgery. He will remain in hospital for a few more days.
Cauvery Hospital has released a new medical bulletin revealing Rajinikanth’s health. Rajinikanth was admitted to the Chennai Cauvery Hospital after suffering from dizziness. Rajinikanth arrived at the hospital around 4.30 pm on Thursday.

The surgery was performed on Friday, October 29, 2021. According to the hospital bulletin, Rajinikanth has successfully undergone ‘Carotid Artery Revascularization’ surgery. The megastar is said to be recovering and is expected to be discharged from the hospital in a few days.

Meanwhile, 30 police personnel have been deployed for security in front of the Cauvery Hospital in Chennai where actor Rajinikanth was admitted. The move is to prevent fans from rushing to the hospital. In addition, everyone who arrives at the hospital is admitted only after security checks.
The 70-year-old was admitted to the Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad last December. He was admitted to the hospital that day due to shortness of breath and fluctuations in blood pressure.
The day before, he had received the Dada Saheb Phalke Award, the highest honor in Indian cinema, from Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu. Its footage went viral on social media. He was later rushed to a hospital for treatment.
