Of these, 246 million records are now linked to a CPF, while 40.8 million remain without CPF and are currently under analysis for potential inactivation.

Impact and Timeline: Inactivation and Future Goals
the government estimates that 11 million records will be inactivated each month, totaling 111 million by April 2026. As of July 2023, 54 million registrations have already been suspended. Despite these inactivations, the Ministry of Health assures that patients without a CPF will continue to receive care through the SUS.
“We are not leaving anyone behind. people who do not have CPF will still be attended to”, stated Minister of Health Alexandre Padilha. He further emphasized, “There is no national public health system that has the volume, diversity and complexity of the data that has the SUS.”
