According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, a total of 18,949 people used the Suseo-Dongtan route on the 30th, the first day of opening of the GTX-A metropolitan express railway.
This figure is 13% higher than the weekend demand of 16,788 predicted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
The station where the largest number of passengers boarded and alighted on this day was Dongtan Station, and it turned out that 8,143 passengers of the total were transferred from other public transportation.
73% of the passengers were adults.
Elderly people and children, who were entitled to the 30% and 50% discount, represented 7.7% and 7.5% of all passengers.
