Nintendo Switch 2 to Feature USB Mouse Support for Enhanced Gameplay
The Nintendo Switch 2 will allow players to use a standard USB mouse, according to a developer video released by Koei Tecmo.The video showcased gameplay from Nobunaga’s ambition: Awakening Complete Edition,highlighting the console’s new feature.
Michi Ryu, a producer at Koei Tecmo, demonstrated the seamless integration of a USB mouse while playing the game. The Switch 2 displayed a notification upon connection,and Ryu fluidly switched between the mouse and the left Joy-Con 2 controller.
The original Nintendo Switch offered limited mouse and keyboard support, with onyl a few titles, such as the Nightdive-developed Turok port, taking advantage of the feature. The Nintendo Today app also demonstrated the Joy-Con 2’s ability to function as a mouse when placed on its edge,displaying an on-screen pointer for menu navigation.
“The ability to seamlessly switch between a standard USB mouse and the Joy-Con 2 controller offers players greater flexibility and control,” Gaming Analyst, Tech News Daily said.
