Sydney Sweeney reportedly considering converting to Judaism, Page Six says

Sydney Sweeney is seriously considering converting to Judaism as her relationship with Scooter Braun moves toward marriage and starting a family, according to reporting by Page Six.

Sydney Sweeney Met With Two Rabbis To Discuss Conversion

The actress has already taken concrete steps regarding religious conversion by meeting with two rabbis to discuss the process, Page Six reported. Converting to Judaism typically requires between 10 months and four years of rigorous study, courses on Jewish history and the Bible, and active participation in community life under the sponsorship of a rabbi.

Initial reports regarding Sweeney considering conversion surfaced on the online site DeuxMoi before Page Six confirmed through sources that the process is being pursued seriously. The timeline for the conversion process involves extensive coursework and community involvement.

Attending Rosh Hashanah Services in Greenwich Connecticut

The relationship between Sweeney and Braun became public in the summer of 2025. The couple was recently spotted together attending Rosh Hashanah services at Temple Sholom in Greenwich, Connecticut, where sources observed them sitting in the back of the synagogue.

Temple Sholom counts prominent figures such as Mayim Bialik and financiers Mark Shenkman, Steven Tananbaum, Cliff Asness, and Andrew Milgram among its congregants. Braun was previously married to Yael Cohen, with whom he shares three children—Jagger Joseph, Levi Magnus, and Hart Violet—who have already spent documented time with Sweeney.

Scooter Braun Plans a Proposal and Birthday Tribute

Braun has been heavily focused on his relationship with Sweeney since they began dating. Sources tell Page Six that Braun is planning to propose within the next six months and is determined to marry her, frequently chartering private planes to travel alongside her.

On September 12, Braun posted a public tribute for Sweeney’s 29th birthday, writing on social media:

The woman who surprised me and showed me what a life of true partnership can be. You make me smile harder, laugh louder, go on more adventures and dream bigger. You’ve made the ordinary exciting and made the future feel like something I simply can’t wait to get to.

Scooter Braun

Braun has also reportedly taken an active role in advising Sweeney professionally by helping her arrange management meetings outside of her standard representation. Page Six noted that Braun previously described Sweeney as the modern Marilyn Monroe, drawing a parallel to Monroe’s conversion to Judaism following her marriage to Arthur Miller.

Wedding Plans and Future Family Discussions Remain Unconfirmed

Representatives for neither Sweeney nor Braun have responded to requests for comment regarding the reported marriage plans or the religious conversion process. While sources close to the couple assert that a proposal is expected within six months and that family planning is underway, neither party has issued a formal statement confirming a wedding date or the final status of Sweeney’s conversion.
