T20 World Cup 2024: Teams, Squads & Key Players Revealed

ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 Squads Confirmed

The ninth edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, a 20-team event, is set to take place in the USA and West Indies from June 1 to June 29, 2024. All 20 participating teams have now submitted their squads, with New Zealand being the first to announce their roster on April 29, 2024, and Pakistan finalizing their team on May 24, 2024.

Afghanistan

Rashid Khan will lead Afghanistan, with the squad including Ibrahim Zadran, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Mohammad Ishaq, Sediqullah Atal, Darwish Rasooli, Shahidullah Kamal, Azmatullah Omarzai, Gulbadin Naib, Mohammad Nabi, Noor Ahmad, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Zia Ur Rahman Sharifi, Fazalhaq Farooqi, and Abdullah Ahmadzai.

Australia

Mitchell Marsh will captain the Australian side, featuring Xavier Bartlett, Cooper Connolly, Pat Cummins, Tim David, Cameron Green, Nathan Ellis, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Glenn Maxwell, Matthew Kuhnemann, Marcus Stoinis, Adam Zampa, and Matthew Short.

Bangladesh

Najmul Hossain Shanto will lead Bangladesh. The squad includes Taskin Ahmed, Litton Das, Soumya Sarkar, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Shakib Al Hasan, Tawhid Hridoy, Mahmud Ullah Riyad, Jaker Ali Anik, Tanvir Islam, Shak Mahedi Hasan, Rishad Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman, Shoriful Islam, and Tanzim Hasan Sakib.

Canada

Saad Bin Zafar will captain Canada, with the team consisting of Aaron Johnson, Ravinderpal Singh, Navneet Dhaliwal, Kaleem Sana, Dilon Heyliger, Jeremy Gordon, Nikhil Dutta, Pargat Singh, Nicholas Kirton, Rayyankhan Pathan, Junaid Siddiqui, Dilpreet Bajwa, Shreyas Movva, and Rishiv Joshi.

England

Harry Brook will captain England. The squad includes Rehan Ahmed, Jofra Archer, Tom Banton, Jacob Bethell, Jos Buttler, Sam Curran, Liam Dawson, Ben Duckett, Will Jacks, Jamie Overton, Adil Rashid, Phil Salt, Josh Tongue, and Luke Wood.

India

Suryakumar Yadav will captain India, replacing Rohit Sharma after his retirement from the T20 format. The squad includes Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, Axar Patel, Rinku Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakaravarthy, Washington Sundar, and Ishan Kishan.

Ireland

Paul Stirling will captain Ireland, with the team comprising Ross Adair, Ben Calitz, Harry Tector, Tim Tector, Lorcan Tucker, Mark Adair, Curtis Campher, Gareth Delany, George Dockrell, Matthew Humphreys, Josh Little, Ben White, Barry McCarthy, and Craig Young.

Italy

Wayne Madsen will captain Italy, with the squad including Harry Manenti, Jon-Jon Trevor Smuts, Grant Stewart, Ben Manenti, Ali Hasan, Marcus Campopiano, Thomas Draca, Jaspreet Singh, Crishan Kalugamage, Gian-Piero Meade, Anthony Mosca, Justin Mosca, Syed Naqvi, and Zain Ali.

Namibia

Gerhard Erasmus will captain Namibia, with the team consisting of Jan Balt, Zane Green, Malan Kruger, Dylan Leicher, Louren Steenkamp, Jan Frylinck, Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton, Willem Myburgh, Johannes Jonathan Smit, Jack Brassell, Max Heingo, Bernard Scholtz, Ben Shikongo, and Ruben Trumpelmann.

Nepal

Rohit Paudel will captain Nepal, with the squad including Aarif Sheikh, Aasif Sheikh, Dipendra Singh Airee, Basir Ahamad, Kushal Bhurtel, Sundeep Jora, Lokesh Bam, Gulshan Jha, Karan KC, Sompal Kami, Sandeep Lamichhane, Sher Malla, Lalit Rajbanshi, and Nandan Yadav.

Netherlands

Scott Edwards will captain the Netherlands, with the team including Noah Croes, Michael Levitt, Max O’Dowd, Colin Ackermann, Bas de Leede, Zach Lion-Cachet, Saqib Zulfiqar, Roelof van der Merwe, Aryan Dutt, Fred Klaassen, Kyle Klein, Logan van Beek, Tim van der Gugten, and Paul van Meekeren.

New Zealand

Mitchell Santner will captain New Zealand, with the squad featuring Finn Allen, Michael Bracewell, Mark Chapman, Devon Conway, Jacob Duffy, Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry, Daryl Mitchell, Adam Milne, James Neesham, Glenn Phillips, Rachin Ravindra, Tim Seifert, and Ish Sodhi.

Oman

Jatinder Singh will captain Oman, with the team including Hammad Mirza, Vinayak Shukla, Jay Odedra, Mohammad Nadeem, Nadeem Khan, Karan Sonavale, Wasim Ali, Hassnain Shah, Jiten Ramanandi, Shafiq Jan, Shah Faisal, Shakeel Ahmed, Sufyan Mehmood, and Ashish Odedara.

Pakistan

Salman Ali Agha will captain Pakistan, with the squad including Abrar Ahmed, Babar Azam, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Khawaja Nafay, Mohammad Nawaz, Salman Mirza, Naseem Shah, Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shadab Khan, Usman Khan, and Usman Tariq.

Scotland

Richie Berrington will captain Scotland, with the team consisting of Tom Bruce, Matthew Cross, Michael Jones, Finlay McCreath, George Munsey, Michael Leask, Brendon McCullen, Brad Currie, Chris Greaves, Safyaan Sharif, Mark Watt, Brad Wheal, Oliver Davidson, and Zainullah Ihsan.

Sri Lanka

Dasun Shanaka will captain Sri Lanka, with the squad including Pathum Nissanka, Kamil Mishara, Kusal Mendis, Kusal Janith Perera, Kamindu Mendis, Charith Asalanka, Janith Liyanage, Pavan Rathnayake, Wanindu Hasaranga, Dunith Wellalage, Maheesh Theekshana, Dushmantha Chameera, Matheesha Pathirana, and Eshan Malinga.

USA

Monank Patel will captain the USA, with the team including Jessy Singh, Andries Gous, Shehan Jayasuriya, Milind Kumar, Shayan Jahangir, Saiteja Mukkamala, Sanjay Krishnamurthi, Harmeet Singh, Nosthush Kenjige, Shadley van Schalkwyk, Saurabh Netravalkar, Ali Khan, Mohammad Mohsin, and Shubham Ranjane.

Zimbabwe

Sikandar Raza will captain Zimbabwe, with the team comprising Brian Bennett, Ryan Burl, Brendan Taylor, Graeme Cremer, Bradley Evans, Clive Madande, Tinotene Maposa, Tadiwanashe Marumani, Wellington Masakadza, Tony Munyonga, Tashinga Musekiwa, Blessing Muzarabani, Dion Myers, and Richard Ngarava.

Teams were permitted to submit a provisional squad by May 1, 2024, and were allowed to make changes until May 25, 2024.
