T20 World Cup: Hate campaign; BCCI indirectly supports Mohammad Shamim

Mumbai: The BCCI has indirectly supported Indian pacer Mohammed Shami, who is facing a cyber attack following his defeat to Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2021. The BCCI tweeted a picture of Virat Kohli and Mohammad Shami together. The tweet says to move forward with strength. But there is no direct mention of cyber attack.

Shami conceded 17 runs in the 18th over in a thrilling match against Pakistan. With this, Pakistan won. Later, the Indian team fans turned against Shamim. Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Virender Sehwag, Mohammad Azharuddin, Harbhajan Singh and Venkatesh Prasad were among those who came to support Shamim. This was followed by an indirect tweet from the BCCI.

In a thrilling match, Pakistan defeated India by 10 wickets. Pakistan were bowled out for 151 with 13 balls to spare. Mohammad Rizwan was unbeaten on 79 and Babur Assam on 68 as Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat. Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s half-century (57 off 49 balls) was wasted. Pakistan beat India for the first time in World Cup history.
