Metallica Announces Las Vegas Residency at Sphere, Promising No Repeat Sets
Las Vegas’ Sphere will host Metallica for a series of eight concerts this October, marking the band’s first residency at the venue. Dubbed “Life Burns Faster,” the shows are scheduled for October 1, 3, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29, and 31, with tickets going on sale to the general public on .
The announcement follows performances by other artists at the Sphere, including intergenerational jam bands and folk-rock legends, according to a report. Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich expressed his enthusiasm for the opportunity, stating, “About 12 seconds into the opening night of Sphere with U2 back in ‘23, I thought ‘We have to do this, it’s completely uncharted territory!’” He continued, “This residency gives us another chance to reinvent how we interact with our fans in a live setting. We are beyond excited to share this with the world in six months time, and way f— psyched to go next level!”
Building on a format introduced during their recent M72 stadium tour, Metallica will continue the “No Repeat Weekends” tradition. This means that each Thursday and Saturday performance will feature a completely unique setlist, ensuring fans who attend both nights experience two distinct concerts.
