Taiwan Salt Green Energy Chairman Chen Qiu Fails to Appear in Court

The Tainan District Prosecutor’s Office told CNA reporters today that prosecutors are conducting extensive investigations against Chen Qiu. The Qiaotu District Prosecutor’s Office issued a warrant for arrest and notified the Tainan City Police Department, Kaohsiung City Police Department, Coast Guard, Ministry. Justice Investigation Bureau and other units to assist in the full pursuit.
The Southern Prosecutor’s Office said Chen Qiu was restricted from traveling by sea and leaving the country on October 24. Currently, prosecutors, police and the Coast Guard are mobilizing hundreds of people to invest in the use of technical investigative methods such as tracking and positioning, failing which an arrest will be made, and a wanted notice will be issued.
The Southern District Prosecutor’s Office investigated the case of optoelectronic fraud and ordered Chen Qiu, former general manager of Taiwan Salt Green Energy, Su Kunhuang, former deputy general manager Surname Guo, Surname Su of Honghui International Company, and the person in charge. Chawang Development Company will be detained on October 23 and sent back to the District Court for judgment.
Tainan District Court held a detention court for Chen Qiu and five others at 11 a.m. yesterday, after nearly seven hours of questioning, Chen Qiu never appeared.
The other four defendants, the district court ruled at about 10 o’clock last night, Su Kunhuang and the person in charge of Honghui International Company are not seen in custody, and the former deputy general manager of Taiwan Salt Green. The power surname Guo and the person in charge of Chaoyang Development Company should be sent back to the surname Dai. The Southern Prosecutor’s Office will consider filing a protest against Guo and Dai.
