The final day of the U-18 (under 18) Baseball Asian Championship was held in Taipei on the 8th, and the Japanese high school representative team lost 1-6 to Taiwan, becoming the runner-up. Taiwan won its third championship in six tournaments.
Japan took the lead with one point in the first inning, but failed to score any more after the second inning. Starting pitcher Komamaru (Hotoku Gakuen, Hyogo) gave up two runs in the middle of the third inning.
