Kabul: Taliban militants have attacked and destroyed the Karte Parwan Gurdwara, a major Sikh shrine in Afghanistan, after tying up guards. The scriptures were destroyed. This gurudwara is visited by Guru Nanak.
Attacks on minorities have become widespread since the Taliban took power. After the Taliban seized power, the country’s Sikh and Hindu minorities sought refuge in this gurudwara north of Kabul.
The CCTV cameras here were also smashed.
