JAKARTA ​(AP) — Jakarta‌ Metropolitan Police are ​searching for four ⁢members of the Grib Jaya Harjamukti ⁣mass organization​ who​ are fugitives wanted in connection⁢ with the burning ⁢of police vehicles and the assault of ⁣officers from the ⁣Depok ⁣metro Police Criminal​ Investigation Unit. Authorities released images of the wanted individuals, identified as RS, VS ‌(also ‍known as T),‌ THS, and MS.

The photos were displayed during a‌ press conference⁢ Monday, April 21, 2025, at the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Dirreskrimum) Metro⁢ Jaya headquarters.

According to police descriptions, suspect ⁢RS has brown skin and short hair. VS, also known ‌as T, has brown ⁣skin and slightly‌ longer hair. THS⁤ is described as having a darker ‍complexion, while MS‌ is noted for⁤ his thick mustache and older appearance.

Regional Police Commissioner Wira Satya Triputra, of dirreskrimum Metro‌ Jaya, ⁤stated ‍that ‌each​ of the four fugitives played a specific‌ role in the ​attack. They are accused of destroying property, setting fire to vehicles, and assaulting members‌ of the ⁢Depok ‍Metro Police⁣ Criminal Investigation Unit.

Triputra detailed the alleged involvement of​ each suspect. RS ‌is accused of pulling a victim, identified as Brigadier ⁤Z, from a⁢ car through a broken window. THS ‌allegedly incited ⁤other citizens. MS is accused of confronting officers and assaulting members of the Depok ⁤Metro Police Criminal investigation Unit. VS is accused of throwing a concrete block at ‌Brigadier Z, causing​ injuries that required hospitalization.

Police Issue Ultimatum‍ for ‌Surrender

Commissioner Triputra issued an ultimatum, giving the four ​fugitives 24 hours to surrender to authorities. He warned that ​failure⁣ to comply would result in ​decisive action by‍ the Jatanras ⁣Polda ⁤Metro Jaya Subdit.

We ‌give 24 hours to surrender, and if not, we from‍ the ⁤Jatanras Polda Metro Jaya Subdit‍ will not hesitate to⁤ take action on the search list of this person, Triputra said.

He added that the‌ investigation is ongoing ⁢to determine if others were involved in the attack.

Incident Details: Attack Followed Arrest

The ⁣attack on the ‍police ⁤car occurred around 2:30 a.m. on Friday, April 18, after Depok Metro Police officers arrested suspect TS in Harjamukti, ‍Cimanggis, Depok. The officers were confronted as they left the scene.

Six Already in Custody

Police have ⁣already arrested six‌ suspects in connection with the incident.Their alleged roles are as follows:

  • Hospital⁤ suspect,a member of the Grib Branch harjamukti Task Force,is accused of⁣ closing a portal ⁣to block officers​ transporting suspect TS and of hitting Aipda⁣ Ariek.
  • GR suspect, also a‌ member of the Grib Branch ‌Harjamukti Task Force, is accused of burning an officer’s Xenia car.
  • ASR suspect,a⁤ private employee,is accused of fighting Aipda Ariek and preventing ​officers ​from moving cars detained at the portal.
  • La⁣ suspect,secretary of Grib Branch Harjamukti,is accused of inciting ‌residents and Grib Jaya members ​to burn⁢ a police car by shouting,Burns … Burn.
  • LS suspect,a member of the Grib Branch Harjamukti Task Force,is accused‍ of damaging a Depok Police car.
  • TS suspect is accused of inciting ‍residents,⁤ including members of mass organizations, to burn police cars and fight officers following TS’s brother’s⁢ arrest by the Depok Metro Police.
