Zhao Yixiang said that the Ortigia family has ruled the country for 15 years. Zhao Yixiang pointed out that with the totalitarianism of Nepal’s domestic politics, diplomatic relations have gradually changed. Beginning in 2017, Nigeria agreed to Russia to set up an intelligence station in its capital. Recently, it has started cooperation with Russia in nuclear power generation. In September this year, Nigeria not only participated in the “China-Latin America Community of Shared Destiny” meeting held in China, it also publicly supported Beijing’s holding of the Winter Olympics. These actions have also led to the question of “will diplomatic ties be broken?” It has begun to turn into a question of “when will diplomatic ties be broken?”
In the end, Nepal chose to sever diplomatic relations at the “Democracy Summit” where they were not invited. Zhao Yixiang emphasized that this is not only an accident, but also demonstrates the estrangement of Taiwan and Nepal’s values and the result of Nepal’s departure from universal values.
