Tanzanian president returns to boost cooperation The Tanzanian president returned, increasing cooperation

Muscat: Tanzanian President Samia Zuluhu Hassan has returned from a three-day visit to Oman. The President returned with increased cooperation between the two countries in various fields, including the avoidance of double taxes. Deputy Prime Minister Syed Shihab bin Tariq Al Saeed and Diwan of the Royal Court Minister Syed Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaydi bid farewell at the Royal Airport.

Royal Office Minister Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nuamani, Interior Minister Syed Hammood bin Faisal Al Busaydi, Foreign Minister Syed Badr bin Hamad Al Busaydi, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation Dr. Rahma bint Ibrahim Al Mahrooki, Oman Ambassador to Tanzania Saud bin Hilal Al Shidani, Tanzanian Ambassador to Oman Abdullah Abasi Kilima and members of the Embassy were also present.

As part of the visit, the two countries signed six agreements on tourism, natural resources, higher education and training, and national museums. A tripartite agreement has also been reached between the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Tanzanian Chamber of Commerce, the Industry and Agriculture and the Zanzibar National Chamber of Commerce.

Another Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Oman Investment Authority and the Zanzibar Investment Promotion Authority. It has also been decided to set up an investment fund for both the countries. Samia Suluhu Hassan, who is on a three-day official visit, was given a warm welcome by Sultan Haitham Bean Tariq.
