tata Elxsi and Infineon Technologies have signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly develop submission-ready electric vehicle (EV) solutions tailored for India. This collaboration aims to support the country’s rapid shift toward electrification.
The partnership will focus on creating automotive-grade, cost-optimized, and safety-compliant subsystems for two-wheelers, three-wheelers, passenger vehicles, and commercial vehicles. The collaboration will address critical safety requirements, including ASIL-D compliance as per ISO 26262 standards.
Tata Elxsi will contribute its design, system integration, and validation capabilities. Infineon will provide early access to its semiconductor technologies, including silicon carbide-based components, microcontrollers, and integrated circuits.
