The TCW Group has successfully closed TCW CLO 2024-3, a $400 million collateralized loan obligation (CLO) fund.This fund is primarily secured by broadly syndicated first-lien loans and represents TCW’s third new issue CLO closure in 2024.
TCW’s alternative credit assets under management have more than doubled since 2020, marking a period of significant expansion for the firm.
Currently, TCW manages 13 CLOs, totaling approximately $5.4 billion in dedicated CLO assets.The firm also recently introduced the TCW AAA CLO ETF (ACLO),providing investors access to AAA CLOs through an exchange-traded fund. Jefferies served as the placement and structuring agent for TCW’s CLO platform, which has completed three new issues, two CLO resets, and two refinancings in 2024.
“We expect to see strong growth in our CLO platform over the coming years and are grateful for the confidence investors place in our process and approach,” said Drew Sweeney, senior portfolio manager.
