Teacher Arrested in Pijijiapan for Harassment and Sexual Harassment Allegations

State police have apprehended a teacher,identified as José N., in connection wiht alleged harassment and sexual harassment. The arrest follows a public complaint filed by a student from the Felipe Carrillo Puerto Preparatory School in Pijijiapan. Jorge Luis Llaven Abarca, head of the state Attorney General’s Office (FGE), confirmed the details of the apprehension.
Details of the Arrest and Investigation
The teacher was taken into custody in Tapachula, a progress that stemmed from an ongoing investigation by the FGE. According to a video statement released on Thursday, Llaven Abarca elaborated on the findings of the investigation.
Establishing Responsibility
The investigation, documented within a formal case file, has reportedly established José N.’s alleged responsibility in the grievance against the young woman, whose identity is being kept confidential. The FGE has conducted a series of expert evaluations, including testimonial, psychological, and victimological assessments.These extensive evaluations, according to Llaven Abarca, have been instrumental in concluding the alleged culpability of the accused.
Ongoing Investigations and Potential Additional Victims
The FGE has indicated that the investigation is far from over. Authorities have received details suggesting the existence of other potential victims who are expected to come forward and file reports in the coming hours.
