Following the earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş, a state of emergency was declared in the provinces of Adana, Adıyaman, Diyarbakır, Gaziantep, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Kilis, Malatya, Osmaniye and Şanlıurfa with the Presidential Decree No. 6785 published in the Official Gazette on February 8, 2023. In this context, the places of duty of teachers working in these provinces were changed, depending on their request or excuse.
Teachers who change their place of duty after the earthquake will be able to apply to the educational institutions in the provinces where they previously worked, without any time requirement. Applications will be received between 3-6 May 2024 and appointments will be made on 7 May 2024. Appointments will be made based on service score superiority within the quotas announced in the 10 provinces affected by the earthquake.
The starting process of the appointed teachers in their new positions will take place as of June 14, 2024.
