In the incident that took place on the 5th floor of Samsun Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMÜ) Kurupelit Campus Credit and Dormitories Institution (KYK) Münevver Ayaşlı Girls’ Dormitory, Block D, Elif Coşkun (18), a first-year student at OMÜ Health Services Vocational School, Department of Oral and Dental Health, was killed. He was found hanging with a robe rope in the bathroom of his dormitory on campus.
The incident was reported to the police and medical teams. Medical teams and police determined that Elif Coşkun, who was found hanging, died at the scene. After the investigation of the police and the prosecutor at the scene, the lifeless body of the young girl was taken to the morgue of Samsun Training and Research Hospital for autopsy.
Other students staying in the dormitory who heard about the incident were greatly saddened. It was learned that Elif Coşkun is from Çorum. The investigation of the case is continuing.
