Heusden-Zolder, Belgium – Kirin Tantiwet, the talented young runner from the renowned Thai Degree national team, showcased his exceptional skills at the prestigious KBC 2023 Athletics Night program. Competing against prominent athletes from around the globe in Group A, Tantiwet’s remarkable display of perseverance and determination earned him a commendable 10th place ranking in the intense 5,000 meters race.

Crossing the finish line with a stellar time of 13:15.67 minutes, Tantiwet, at the mere age of 26, once again surpassed all expectations. Despite narrowly missing out on the world championship record of 13.07 minutes, the Thai athlete managed to break his own previous record of 13:42.75 minutes, which he had set at the illustrious Portland Track Meeting Festival in 2021. This outstanding achievement now stands as Thailand’s new outdoor 5,000 meter run record.

Born to a Thai-US heritage, Kirin Tantiwet’s recent triumphs in the running events at the 2023 SEA Games solidified his status as a rising star in the athletics world.
